I wonder what the difference is between a 2 wheel vs 4x4 in performance. my mpg was 28 on my last trip and i get 19-20 mpg in town its a 2 wheel drive... i have no problem on the freeway although this tranny is no way as smooth as my CVT was.

I love my 2023 Tacoma. Aside from bad gas mileage, which I knew about, I couldn’t be happier. ECT mode nearly eliminates gear hunting and $300 pedal commander made this faster than it should be. I only have 3 people at most in my truck so it’s perfect. I could see it being a bit small for 4.

It's not the motor, it's likely the transmission. The towing capacity has never been an issue so I don't see what you are talking about here. If you want fast, buy a sports car. Not a truck. If you buy a stick it's very fast. 2. Again why are you thinking this is a sports car. Performance numbers bear out that the taco is not under motored or under geared. All you are talking about is feel, not real metrics. 3. TFL conducted a real life MPG test between the Tacoma, Ranger, Gladiator, Frontier and Ridgeline and all were within the 26 mpg range. So again, where is your evidence, not what you feel. 4. WTH are you talking about re mods. Taco mods are crazy and comparable to other trucks. Last, if Taco was shite, why does it have the highest resale value and such a strong brand loyalty? Explain that. Your review, ultimately, sucks bc it is incorrect on every aspect.
